Greenbuddies s.r.o. processes your data in accordance with the provisions of the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable statutory provisions on the protection of personal data and data security.

The following information applies to our Internet presence (hereinafter referred to as “Website”) and provides you with an overview of what personal data we collect from you through our Website, for what purposes, and in what way we use such data. In addition, we provide you with information about the rights you have in relation to your personal data.

2. PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES OF PROCESSING

2.1 Purposes

You can use virtually the whole of the Internet service of Greenbuddies without us requiring personal data from you. Only a small number of services which you can find on our web pages require the provision of personal data in order for you to be able to use them.

2.2 Legal Basis

The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest in publishing information about our company, making our Website content attractive and usable, and identifying and rectifying possible technical issues (Art. 6 para. 1 first sentence lit. f) GDPR).

When contacting us via a contact form, you consent to the data you provide (e.g., your e-mail address, name, telephone number) being stored by us to answer your questions. Your data will be deleted after processing your request (Art. 6 para. 1 first sentence lit. a) GDPR).


3. FUNCTIONALITIES

3.1 Logging in and Using the Website

When you visit the Greenbuddies Website, technical access data is automatically recorded and evaluated by our Internet server. However, this data cannot be allocated to a specific person, and the individual user remains anonymous. Data recorded includes:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of enquiry
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Website from which the request originates
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system and its user interface
  • Language and version of the browser software

3.2 Cookies

We use cookies in certain areas of our Website. These are small data elements that an Internet server can send to your computer to improve your user experience. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the Website’s operation, while others require your consent.

3.3 Microsoft Clarity

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replays. This data helps us improve and market our products and services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products, services, and online activities. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud prevention, security purposes, and advertising.

3.4 Google Analytics

The legal basis for using Google Analytics is your consent (Art.6 para.1 first sentence lit. a GDPR). If you consent, Google Analytics helps analyze website traffic and user interactions. The collected data includes user behavior, geographic location, device specifications, and referrer URLs. The data is anonymized and deleted after 14 months.

3.5 Google Ads and Conversion Tracking

We use Google Ads and conversion tracking for targeted advertising. A conversion cookie is set upon clicking a Google ad and remains valid for 30 days. Data collected helps us analyze ad performance but does not personally identify users. Consent management is available under point 3.2 “Cookies.”

3.6 LinkedIn Insight Tag

We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to track campaign performance and conversions from LinkedIn ads. Data collected includes user interactions, referrer URLs, IP addresses (hashed for privacy), and browser details. The anonymized data is deleted after 180 days. 3.7 Newsletter Subscription

Users may subscribe to our free newsletter by providing their email and optionally their name. Consent is required under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Users can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each newsletter.


4. RECIPIENTS OF YOUR DATA / TRANSFER TO THIRD COUNTRIES

Personal data processing primarily occurs within the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA). If data transfer to third countries occurs, it is only under GDPR-compliant agreements such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions (Art. 44 ff. GDPR). For further details, see section 3 regarding specific providers.

Data transfer to the USA When using third-party cookies like Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and LinkedIn, data transfer to the USA may occur. As of now, there is no data protection-compliant agreement between the EU and the USA. Users should be aware of the potential risks associated with US government access to personal data.


5. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Request rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) or deletion (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • File a complaint with a data protection authority (Art. 77 GDPR)
