- What were, in your opinion, the three main successes of our company this year?
The entire Greenbuddies group has significantly strengthened. We found new talents and now have about 100 highly motivated colleagues who enjoy seeing concrete results. That's some power! In short, we are "Unstoppables"! Also, this year, the significance of the domestic market in the Czech Republic greatly increased, which we enhanced by offering services with higher added value and taking on the role of general contractor. We truly play in a higher league now. And thirdly, we successfully developed strategic partnerships with strong players in development both at home and abroad. In Austria, we were the general contractor for a significant local state company, building rooftop power plants and the country's largest solar carport. There is interest in us among significant players in our segment in Europe and at home. That's valued.
- Which company value would you like to develop most next year and why?
Individual responsibility for results and teamwork. These are values that have been highly important to me throughout my professional career. Even now, at GreenBuddies, I see that the people around me who share and develop these values are the biggest stars and leaders of our team.
- What inspired you the most this year?
Definitely meeting all colleagues from across the group, across departments, countries, professions. Although I am not the original founder of our empire, I was there when we could be counted on the fingers of one hand, and I witnessed how the initial business concept of the founding fathers gradually expanded. Seeing almost the entire current team together, working with very intelligent and passionate people, and seeing the rocket growth we've undergone, gives me a tremendous sense of satisfaction. We can be justifiably proud of everything we've achieved so far. It also gives me confidence in what we want to achieve in the future. It definitely won't be easy, but this team has what it takes to achieve the maximum possible even in harder times.
- What is your vision for the development of trends in photovoltaics/EV for next year?
Photovoltaics are far from having their last word. I firmly believe that we will continue to witness rapid technological development with concurrent unit cost reductions. I bet on further rapid development of energy storage technologies, accompanying the expansion of sensible energy production from solar power. As for electromobility, I think that with the current reasonable development of the charging infrastructure, it will find its adequate place in the comprehensive transportation mix – use for shorter distances, in areas with high emission loads, etc. The development of charging networks is key to further development. Certainly, the development of other low-emission alternative technologies is also necessary. I wish that further development takes place in line with real economic and environmental aspects, without the influence of other transient factors that usually do not contribute positively in the long run.
- Do you have any special Christmas message you would like to share?
No, I don't have any special message. Just the traditional Christmas one. I would like to wish all our customers, partners, employees, and colleagues blessed Christmas holidays, spent in peace in the company of loved ones. Let's forget about the next megawatts and economic results for a few days. Let's elevate our minds to a higher spiritual dimension in the spirit of the upcoming holidays and rest from the daily hustle and bustle. I wish you all a beautiful Christmas and in the new year robust health, happiness, and an open mind. I look forward to seeing you in the new year 2024!
