Bidfood
For Bidfood, a supplier of fresh and frozen food, we provide a complete solution for the construction of a photovoltaic system on the roofs of their production facilities. We also installed photovoltaics for Bidfood in Kralupy nad Vltavou, Chlumec nad Cidlinou, and Velké Meziříčí. In Kralupy, for example, the solar power plant covers almost 8% of their annual electricity consumption at a given point of consumption. Once completed, it will produce over 600 MWh of electricity per year, and the annual output of the solar plant is estimated at approximately 250 MWh.
Penny
In July 2023, we began installing photovoltaic power plants for the discount chain PENNY. The construction of rooftop PV plants covers existing as well as new branches in the Czech Republic. The systems will also include battery storage facilities that will take care of the accumulation of the surplus energy produced. The solar panels will be gradually installed on the roofs of eleven PENNY stores in Prague: Ladvi, Skutch, Charvátská Nová Ves, Jindřichův Hradec, Přibyslav, Milevsko, Beroun, Polná, Benešov, Chodov, and Krumvír. Thanks to the delivery of our solar systems, these stores will now save up to 40% of energy.
Unipress
The decision to install 652 solar panels on its roof will help Unipress in Turnov become more energy-self-sufficient and save energy. We started installing the 410 Wp panels at the beginning of 2023. The solar power plant will produce 250 MWh per year, which is almost a third of the printer's annual energy consumption. At a price of CZK 9,844 per MWh, this represents a saving of CZK 2.5 million for Unipress in its first year of operation. The printing plant in Turnov can thus boast not only the latest printing technologies but also an environmentally friendly approach.
Škoda Auto
Several projects were created in cooperation with our partner, ČEZ ESCO. One of them is a project to install more than 5,000 photovoltaic modules with a total installed capacity of 2,138 kWp on the roofs of three storage halls at the Škoda Auto plant in Mladá Boleslav. The project involved a complete installation, including the supply of components and connection to the distribution network. The expected annual production is approximately 2 GWh of emission-free electricity per year, which will cover about half of the total consumption of the site. This step towards carbon neutrality by 2030 is part of Škoda Auto's concept, and the project, worth almost CZK 60 million, was financed by ČEZ ESCO.
Congress Centre
The second project, which we implemented together with ČEZ ESCO, is one of the largest rooftop solar power plant installations in the Czech Republic. Thanks to Greenbuddies, the Prague Congress Center is now covered by over two thousand solar panels with a capacity of 1 MWp. Our installation technicians were at a height of 40 m, where they laid almost 20,000 meters of cables. Here we used SolarEdge inverters, which minimize the voltage during a fault and are thus suitable for a possible firefighting response. As part of the permitting process, the investor and the contractor consulted with the conservation authorities and the metro administration to prepare the construction.
CTP
Another project carried out for the investor, ČEZ ESCO, is the roofs of CTP's industrial halls. Rooftop photovoltaics were installed at several locations, namely the CTPark West Prague complex in Chrášt'any, which will consist of 1996 solar modules with a total installed capacity of 890 kWp; in Hradec Králové, 778 panels will contribute to the installed capacity of 350 kWp; and in Cerhovice, 1826 panels with a total capacity of 822 kWp. In the next phase, installations will also be carried out in Brno, and another in Hradec Králové.
