Greenbuddies continues its expansion, now entering its 18th market – this time in Ireland. For our client Axial, a leading substructure manufacturer, we are executing a project with an installed capacity of 30 MWp. The project will include 50 420 photovoltaic modules and over 27 000 piles. This large-scale installation marks a significant step for Greenbuddies, reaffirming our growing portfolio of renewable energy projects across Europe.
The 30 MWp power plant project is underway
Project manager Jan Ryba comments on the current construction status: “We are currently in the framing phase and have completed approximately 10% of the 27 000 piles. At the moment, we are also mobilizing workers to ensure everything is finished before winter. We plan to have 50 to 60 workers on-site to meet our deadlines.”
The project faces challenges related to strict Irish labor and safety requirements. All workers must undergo several training sessions and meet various criteria before they can begin work on the site. The 176 MWp park is one of the largest in Ireland, and its completion will mark a major milestone in the country's renewable energy infrastructure. The project will feature over 300 000 panels in total and is expected to save 250 000 tons of CO2 emissions.
Greenbuddies' contribution of 30 MWp is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter next year.
