Alongside projects implemented for external customers, Greenbuddies Group is also developing solar power plants directly owned by Greenbuddies and our financial partners. We actively search for suitable sites, negotiate with landowners, municipalities, and authorities, ensure connection to the distribution network, and complete all permitting processes up to the stage of issuing a building permit. We then go on to the construction and commissioning of the photovoltaic power plant.
Cooperation on PV development with foreign partners
In 2021, we entered into a cooperation agreement with the German company ib vogt to form a joint venture to develop a total of 500 MW of ground-mounted photovoltaic power plants in the Czech Republic with a typical size of more than 50 MW.
In the same year, another cooperation agreement was concluded with SENS (Iqony) for the development of solar projects in the Netherlands.
In 2023, an agreement was concluded with international investor and developer Langa International for the further development and construction of solar power plants in the Czech Republic (in contrast to our cooperation with ib vogt, these are projects with a typical capacity of between 4 and 10 MW). The total value of the projects amounts to almost CZK 2.4 billion over the next 5 years, and the cooperation may extend to other countries in the EU. The project primarily focuses on unused areas and aims to increase the energy security and competitiveness of the Czech Republic.
